Mustang Down!!! Going into severe depression!! :-(

As some of you know my alternator went down about a week ago. I ordered one from PA Performance and swapped the clutch pulley from the factory one. But there's a problem I can't install it cause PA says in the warranty paperwork that the alternator has to have a #4 wire to keep the lifetime warranty. Unfortunately I ordered the wire from American Muscle and they screwed up on the delivery setup and I'm getting the wire on December 1st. So I've been driving my wife's Honda Civic in the meantime :(. It kills me that I have to wait until tuesday to install the freaking alternator and wire and drive my wife's Civic. This is killing me!!! soon I will need some Prozac or Zoloft. :banghead:banghead:banghead

I would have installed it with the old wire. And then when the new one came I would switch them out. That way at least you wouldn't have to :banghead:banghead:banghead
I thought of that but the problem is I have the Paxton in the way so I have to remove the intake manifold to take the alternator out upwards. One of the screws from the Paxton brace goes where one of the alternator screw goes. So I did'nt want to go trhu that hassle twice.

Oh. Didn't know that. You know, Patience is a Virtue.
going from a stang to a civic :(
We're the 29th today at least just 2 more days to go...it'll pass fast as long as you dont dwell on it too much :(

it's moments like these that make us realize how much we love our stangs...
I've been driving my fiancees Toyota for the past ten months. I'm beyond anti depressants at this point. Hopefully I get my car back soon.. Good luck to you! :)
hold on...... your about to go into a depression cause you couldn't drive your car for a couple days?

dude, some people go months, even years before getting to drive there stang......
Just pop a couple Perc 10's or a Roxy 30 and you'll be relaxed ;)
Not that I would know or anything :shiftyeyes

Bro I waited to buy my stang since I was 13. I'm 33 now that's 10 years of agony and now that I have it now I realize what a stang freak I am. And to top it off drive my wife's Civic.

Hmmmmm sound like a good Idea lol naah I'm an RN might loose my liscence lol
Just take the intake off twice. It has reusable gaskets and it comes off in a matter of minutes. Sounds like you might just need a reason to bitch. If so, then ignore me and go ahead and let it out.

I know man I just did'nt want to go thru the hassle of taking the fuel rails and injectors out as well and the whole drill behind all that.
yeah i was in Iraq for 8 months while my stang was in SC and $5,800 of parts were sitting in new york!
I'd be happy just to live somewhere, like you, where I'd be able to drive it after putting the new alternator on next week.

I haven't driven mine in over a week, and probably won't for the rest of the year since bad weather is coming. And I start a job next monday in a neighborhood that I will never park my Mustang, so I will not even ever drive it on weekdays in the summer. But I'm still breathing. hmmm.
Are tech jobs getting hard to find up in Chicago? I know there are a lot of dealerships closing down around Atlanta. I am glad to be where I am, but it is Chrysler and there is word of phase 2 of closing down dealerships. We're not a big one either so it has me a bit worried...
Mr. Stang, do you have the polished kit? If not, have you tried polishing it? I think I may polish mine this winter. Was about to shine my exhaust tips today and decided to hit S/C and Power Cooler with some Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish, then pulled out the Power Ball that I have never used. Turned out pretty good for 25 minutes of work. I think this winter I'll do it for real with my die-grinder and a lightly abrasive disc, see how that does.

I have the satin one as well. I started to use the dremmel brush but those are too weak. Maybe I'm being a little too rough. Send a pm with pics to see how they look. I might do the same.

It isn't as shiney as it appears in the picture, but much better than what it was.

I hit it again after that pic and it got even better, but not as much of a difference. I think thats about as good as it will get with just polish.
