The fabrick or heat stuff? under the hood but attached to the hood serve any purpose? i'd like to take it off and put my performance stickers onto the underneth the hood. if i take it off will the paint start peeling?

No your paint wont start peeling....Your hood will get a little more hot than before, but you'll be fine

Mines been off for....8 months, and I've had zero issues with anything. Plus the hood looks better without that blanket, especially if you ever had a coolant leak..

its there for safety...its a fire mat...if your engine catches fire the plastic pins holding it melt and drop the fire mat...hopefully snuffing the flame b4 it causes bigger problems...

That's pretty smart actually. I just took mine out two days ago, I hope my engine doesn't start on fire
