Thinking of getting my first Mustang and would like coments on best color, etc.

Im thinking black on black, no spoiler, 5 speed, chrome wheels and exhaust tips and 3.55 rear as a start. Mods will come later. P.S. Should I get an H pipe installed by the dealer before delivery or wait.:D

thats a good start right there.........

when u say black on black do u mean convertible or black interior? Personally i think a spoilerless black on black convertible with chrome 18's will look hella sexy.

I'm not to familiar with dealer delivered mustangs with a mid pipe, so ima keep my mouth shut about that.

Black is always wicked. My GT-CS is very similar to what you described and I love it. Black on Black makes it hard to keep clean inside and out. I get countless complements about how the black looks muscle, yet classy.

I think you should put off on the H-PIPE. Because a dealer will only be able to put on a High Flow Cat which you buy from an aftermarket compnay. i dont think Ford makes High flow or O/R H pipes. They wont put on a Off Road H Pipe because they are illegal but almost every mustang owner on this site runs them. But high flows are good too. They wont be as loud as an O/R H PIPE but you wont have to worry about passing emissions if you have the tests in your state. Id say Go O/R and install it yourself. 20 minute install.

+1 Alloy FTW man! i've got the tan interior and it looks pretty nice imo. there is still black inside to accent it, the center console and dash are black plus parts of the door are black and it looks good so take a peak at it when you go, i didn't think i would like it when the dealer mentioned it to me but it caught

black on black is solid gold man. Never heard of ford putting a after market h pipe on a new stang it comes with a hpipe already. but they do have the x pipe they will put on. If your gonna do 4.10s save your money on the 3.55s. you could get it with a drag pac that has the hurst short throw, 4.10s steeda cai, x pipe and shorty headers.

goog luck.

As mentioned before, black on black is exquisite but difficult to keep clean. Personally, I went with the tungsten grey and black interior but that's why there are multiple coror choices. Congrats on choosing such a fine vehicle in whatever color you like.

The best color is definitely anything other than Windveil Blue.

Rather than an H-pipe from the dealer you should get 3.73s or 4.10s. When I got mine I paid for the gears, fluid, and install kit and the dealer put them in for free. I negotiated this in after I was already getting the deal I wanted and they went for it since it only cost them shop time. This would be cheaper than paying the $300 they now charge for factory 3.55s and a much better option since 3.55s are not nearly enough gear for these cars. I wish I went with 4.10s.

Good Luck!
