NaztyGT just got some new shoes!

My Nitto NT555Rs were a little worn out. 5,000 miles with track time and hard use on the street. It was pretty interesting in the rain to say the least... :D

Better pictures in the morning. 315s fit on 20x10" wheels and Steeda Sport springs though. No more sidewall buldge than the Nitto NT555R 305/35/20s on the car previously. Still running the bump stop, bump stop plate, and shock cover too. No rubbing at all!

Nice. I like my 315's too
Which 315s do you have your car?

you see the new NtO5R's they have coming out?
Yeah but from what I hear the wear is going to be pretty sad. I'm just going to get a set of 15" Bogarts or Holeshots with some slicks for track duty. Enough playing around on the drag radials..

Well I don't think you're fitting anything bigger than a 315 without removing the shock cover, the bump stop plate off the frame, and moving the bump stop over on the axle with a new mount.

I wouldn't of put the 315s on my 10" wide wheels but since the Nittos do run smaller than most tires I decided to try it out. I'm glad I did because the next size in the NT05s is 275s and those wouldn't be on my car. I mean look at the picture, it fits pretty damn good.

Nice man!! I might go with these too if I decide not to do DR's. Who made your badges for you? They look great
Thanks! Steve Cox at Billet Badges made them for me nearly a year ago. Quality is top notch and his customer service was great! I would highly recommend Billet Badges if you need something done similar!

I know they are 315's, but what aspect ratio? I have been looking into the same ones, I think.

What offset are your wheels?
I should of mentioned that, sorry. As far as the Nitto NT05s, it's a 315/35/20. I'm not quite sure on the offset. If Juco comes in here he could tell you probably. I know they are specifically made to fit the S197 properly.

hows the traction compared to the nt555r
Worse but that was expected.. I won't know how much worse until the weather warms up a little so I can accurately compare them.

They are not available yet. I wanted something that was going to last longer anyways. The Nitto NT05Rs, supposedly, are only going to last slightly longer than the NT555Rs. I'm going to be investing in a set of 15" wheels and slicks some time in the next couple of months.

Still have my NT-450s on after 30k and have at least half the tread left. Very happy with Nittos! Of course I am not burning them, either, but they are put through the paces everyday! Congrats on the 05s, man! Hope they hold up to the reputation.
Thanks. I'm hoping that once it warms up that they hook up better. I blow them off if I go WOT at any RPM, any speed, etc in 2nd. Certain conditions I blow them off in 3rd gear, too.. I guess I will have to just roll race everyone for now on..

Thanks man
No problem.

i figured since my rims were never gonna sell.. i put my 18" fr500's back on.. by the time the nt555's are dead i will probably get some 20's.. also now my freaking TPMS is at fault or something..
Did you get your sensors put in those wheels? Are they calibrated? I haven't even ever messed around with getting them put in my new wheels. I don't mind hitting reset every time I jump in the car and than hit the TCS Off Button at the same time. :D

you can just turn tcs off with your tuner...thats what i did and now when i start my car, the "off" light comes on automatically....easy fix
Yeah, I know. I want the ability to have it on and most importantly I don't want the error light. It's not a big deal to hit the button, especially after doing it for two years.

My car nearly dead hooked in first gear with the Nitto NT555Rs. I ran high 11s with those tires on 20s and there have actually been a quite a few cars in the 10s with them.
