That's a good differential. With this, you won't have to worry (most likely) about breaking an axle, but it does still have spider gears which can break. If you want to eliminate those as a point of failure as well, you could go to a Detroit TrueTrac or a Detroit Locker.

well i dont plan on lauching crazy hard... nor will i be at the track that often, so you think its worth it for the trutrac or the locker? compared to the ford racing one?..... whats the difference between theses and the stock one other than being stronger?

You'll probably be fine with the 31-spline FRPP unit that you linked. The main difference is that the FRPP unit uses clutches that can go bad and have to be replaced (although replacing them is pretty easy). The TrueTrac uses worm gears instead of clutches. The locker is definitely overkill for you.

yeah most likely not worth the overkill for the price differance.. guess ima just go with the ford one.. thanks for the info man! reps
