New wheel package vs tire pressure monitoring system

So right now I have stock 17" wheels with the tire pressure monitoring system. I would like over the winter to upgrade to some 18x10's out back and 18x8's up front, obviously with new rubber. I know that I can install the tire pressure monitors inside the new wheels (need new bands to hold them in), but the question is, what if the new tires have a different pressure rating? So whatever the stock is, and I think its 33 lbs pressure, what if the new wheel/tire combo calls for 38 lbs? Will I be in a situation then where the system is always running a bad tire pressure code? Can the optimal pressure be set via a tune?

Tire pressure should be based off of the vehicle, so you can run the same tire psi as you do now. No worries, go for it.
I had stock 18" rims and I went to 18x9s in front and 18x10s in the back and I use the same psi as stock rims which is 32psi or so. No one problem for about a year now
Run what the vehicle calls for. On some TPMS systems you can set the threshold PSI. "Threshold" is the lowest the pressure can go before setting the light. Of course that is when all pressures are the same. If you set the front at let say 32 and the rear at 38, the light would set because of the difference. If you don't mind the light being on, just install the new wheels with no sensors. Otherwise get new bands and put them on. As a tech I think that TPMS is for the laziest of the laziest people. Thanks to FORD and the Explorer/Firestone dilema.
Run what the tire mfg recommends for that tire and weight of vehicle! Not just Ford!

However, no it won't set a light off if you're running 'more'. The light will trip at anything less than 32-33 lbs.
Yep stick to factory numbers.
The sensors don't need to be reprogrammed. They will only go off when ur psi is lower than mid-20's. The psi u run has to do with what tires u have... Not what ford says for factory settings. the proper Psi has to do with vehicle weight, and tire load index, and tire size. Proper psi for my car is 42 in front and 38 in rear.
32psi cold!

also if you are interested in fr500's .. i have them up for sale. black fr500's with nitto nt555's with the tmps installed.
