tuning is everything. if it's tuned for nitrous it'll handle it all day long. the major reason for people blowing a stock intake is mostly due to timing. nitrous and fuel become separated in the intake and pool up (mostly at cyl 4 and due to the "dry" intake style) and when the timing is a little too advanced it causes an intake backfire and WHAMMO blown up intake.

yes. a window switch is highly recommended no matter which brand kit you have. without it there is too much leadway for human error,
either spraying too early in the rpm range or hitting the rev limiter on spray. i personally think it's the best accesory for nitrous. also with certain (ZEX) brands of switch you can choose (program) it to skip (not spray) a gear (or 2,3 ect.) for traction and/or to lesson the chance of breaking something off the line
