I have a 97 mustang when the car sits for a little bit and get fuel to the fuel rail but when I turn the key to start the car, I get no fuel what could be the problem? I’ve been working on the car for a week now. I have put new intake manifold gasket and all new sensors. I get power to the pump.
if pump has power, do you hear the pump priming whenever you turn the key to on position? if so then check rails for fuel pressure at the schrader valve. if pump is not priming, verify power to pump is good if so then id say fuel pump is no good. if power is no good check the fuse and ccrm .. upon cranking you should have pressure at the rails if the pump is good assuming the theft light is not on. other than that the pcm controls the rest to my knowledge
