Would a standard Off Road Mid Pipe meant for a 2v fit on a 4v, and vice versa?

Would there be fitment issues, a buddy of mine is selling a Midpipe for his 97 Cobra and I'm wondering if it would fit onto my 2v GT.

I don't think it would, but you could go to americanmuscle.com and just the part number difference between the two years. If it's the same part number, then you're good to go but I doubt it.

Hmm, I'll go look at the numbers. They look the same on the pictures, but never bothered looking at the numbers.

What about a 99-04 GT Mid pipe on a 96-98GT?

If youre talking aftermarket and the numbers are different, than id say no. If youre talking stock, then i dont know.

-- I googled. The 96-98 uses a hanger at the transmission and the 99-04 uses four hangers at the mufflers. You would need to extend the o2 sensor harness to use a 99-04 pipe on a 96-98. I remember seeing that muffler setup at the yard and thought it was messed up. One of Fords better ideas i suppose.
