Excuse my ignorance, was reading about the benefits of adding an oil catch can. Looks like something you can DIY on the cheap.

Which line do you tap into? Anyone have some pics of an install?

Thx

Is this the right line? It's actually a hard line.
So I guess I would remove this and add the oil filter and some flexible hose?
The diameter of the line is fairly large, maybe 5/8".
Thought all the oil filter set-ups used 3/8"?

+1...unless your blown then passenger side.
Not entirely true.. I'm blown and have it installed on the drivers side. The PVC pipe comes out of the valve cover and into the back of the supercharger. What's running through that pipe is what I want to collect first. I could put it on the passenger side also, but for one catch can, it's the drivers side..

So what are the benefits to a catch can? Just to keep oil out of your intake manifold? I was looking at getting one as well. Do you guys highly recommended doing this on a pretty much stock GT?

I love the look of that JLT, not so crazy about the price.

Anyone cut the factory hard line and add 1 yourself?

the easy way to figure out which side it belongs is to take off the hose from each side
look inside the hose
whichever side has the oil inside is the side you put the catch can on.
but you must also leave the other side attached
if you go to breathers, or breather catchcan, the blowby will come out the other side.

that is exactly why you want one. when i was only a cai/tune i was getting oil into my intake. oil will decrease your octane which is never good. i'll be adding either a can or vents to mine.

I just got one myself. So after we install them, do we need to do anything else?
