is it mechanical or electric?
I just yanked the stock one out and put the aftermarket unit in. Or, you can go with a "T" and attach both.
Not to threadjack (ok, a little), but what aftermarket oil pressure guages do you use and what are the benefits above the stock one?
i had an adapter plate that went inbetween the filter and the block. the concept was great but i could never get it to stop leaking so i took it off, and got rid of the gauge, now i think i am goin to get the SCT livewire
its mechanical, and im using a speedhut guage. for me the benefit of the afterarket guage has more to do with my history and building cars. i like to keep tabs on the actual pressure as opposed to the dumby gauge. to many times, in cars past, has the dumby gauge been wrong or off, and for me it doesnt give enough warning. im also a speedhut boost guage (mechanical), and an aer uego wideband. i also want to hook up a tach, but that one is just for show really, i just really like the way it looks. i have the fuel pressure guage underthe hood.

Thanks, makes all the sense in the world.
I made my own "Oil Manifold" adapter. take a look at the pictures in this gallery. Was about $15 and works great. I have a set of autometer gauges and the oil is electric. I still have the functionality of the factory gauge too.

you remove the factory sensor and adapter which mounts near the oil filter. Keep the factory sensor and adapter and mount in this home made oil manifold.

If you need more specifics let me know.
