You'll be happy either way you go. I highly doubt you'll be noticeably faster with one over the other, I have yet to see a clear cut advantage of one over the other...except in purpose built racecars. Is there any price advantage between the two? Maybe that should be something you should look at. Good luck either way you go.
Oh yeah, all this TS blowers can't hook **** is exactly that...****. A good suspension setup and a good set of slicks will have you hookin' just fine. As far as the street goes...guess what? When you're pushing 450+hp you aren't hooking on the street...period. I don't care if you have a ts, centri, turbo, juice, flux capacitor, whatever. It's not happening. That's why people speed side by side, I mean roll race.
