Juco, i can drive my car around town like it has 100hp...so thats bullshit

it doesnt matter where the power comes in..it matters if you keep your foot out of the gas or not

realistically, that gives PD blowers an advantage...you can drive it like there is nothing there, or if you stomp on it, you have power from 2k-7k...whereas if you have a centri, you only build boost from 3500 and on
See that's what I'm saying man.. 524 rwhp and I drive my car every single day and in the rain on drag radials. No issues.

You know what it is Mickey, is that the centri guys think it's easier to drive because they lack the throttle control needed to drive a twin screw. These guys just want to mash the pedal to the floor and have the boost build up, as opposed to having it instantly and have to be able to feather the throttle to maintain traction. I think that is why they say it is more "streetable." But you and I both know that a twin screw is just as "streetable" with the right driver.

It's like that argument that 4.10's make you lose traction with a blower. That's the biggest bunch of BS that I ever heard. You can only lose traction by getting shittier tires. Yes it takes more skill to drive, but you don't lose any traction. The guys that say you lose traction with a blower and 4.10's, are the guys that don't know how to drive a high torq/hp car.

It's a ,atter of personal preference. I prefer centri's, my reason? I only race in a straight line, and I like the power curve of centri. I have driven many a termi, and a couple GT500's. I have driven turbocharged S197's, I agree with Mickey, a PD blower car feels fast, but isn't always as fast as a centri car.

I say nitrous, it comes on harder than any PD blower, and it's cheaper. If you're still set on a blower, go with the paxton. The novi's are a bullet proof blower, and they stand behind their product.

I highly disagree, PD's are great for the general commuter, but those who are serious about straight line performance know that a centri or turbo is far superior.

I definitely agree with this...I have 4:10s and a twin screw and I still think it is very streetable...I definitely floor it all the time too, you have to learn how to drive is all..

You'll be happy either way you go. I highly doubt you'll be noticeably faster with one over the other, I have yet to see a clear cut advantage of one over the other...except in purpose built racecars. Is there any price advantage between the two? Maybe that should be something you should look at. Good luck either way you go.

Oh yeah, all this TS blowers can't hook **** is exactly that...****. A good suspension setup and a good set of slicks will have you hookin' just fine. As far as the street goes...guess what? When you're pushing 450+hp you aren't hooking on the street...period. I don't care if you have a ts, centri, turbo, juice, flux capacitor, whatever. It's not happening. That's why people speed side by side, I mean roll race.

I wasn't saying that one is better than the other. I was just pointing out that their argument was flawed about which one is better for the street. And trying to explain why they say the silly things they do. I don't agree with what they are saying, was just trying to illustrate their point. And I agree for a drag setup, Turbo is probably the best maximum gain. I, myself, plan on tearing up the streets in my DD with a Whipple or TVS.

My car makes power up to ~6,600 RPMs. Stock longblock and stock cams.
no I wasn't it to pissed anyone off my any means. I just "heard" it. I think a centri ways a little less....thats all I can really think of. If I didn't find a good deal on my Procharger and did on a KB i would have bought that. I love both and they will BOTH get you the numbers you want. period.
