Body panels and below the trunk are pretty twisted. Looks like the back of the car from the roof down need so get cut off and a new rear clip welded in. Luckely I live in a state where blue book isn’t the bottom line. Third party company values the car so they’re not sure yet if they’re going to total her. But I’m so sad. 10 yrs of saving, buying, installing, track time, buying, fixing, installing, going faster at the track, buying installing. $30K in parts, probably 300 or so hours of sweat and blood; only to have some idiot **** it up. Just sad.

Here she was when she was in her prime.

Well looks like they are going to repair it. I will know more after the weekend but all of the frame and crumple zones are unaffected. I'm relieved. will keep updating as we go along.

Super shitty Boss.

If it's twisted at all, I'm not sure I would want that back.
Too much of a financial loss. I added up my parts list and it is just about $30K.

Road is down to one lane in each direction, construction zone. Someone up in front had to make a left and a few cars had to stop behind him and wait so I stopped. Well I guess the guy behind me flying down the road in his Fiat 500 decided he didn't need to stop. I saw him coming and goosed the throttle a little bit as I had a safe distance between me and the car in front. I think that is what saved the car. The body work is pretty twisted it as it ended up being more of a glancing blow, and I was not stopped, so that softened the blow even more. Pitched me sideways pretty good but I managed not to cross the center line.

I went off a couple of recommendations for the body shop. I got like 10 or 12 of them within 3 miles of my house. VIP Collision. I'm going down there on Tuesday just to make sure he knows where to order all of the after market trim like side scoops, louvers, and tail lights. I like the Gen V taillights but thinking about the Vector ones but I don't like the reverse light.

Jeeeze. Well good thing you kept an eye out for **** like that. If I ever come to a unexpected stop in an of place, I always keep and eye out for that oblivious driver. So good work there. And again good luck on finding a good shop. At least in the vegas area, I'd like to believe you have a ton of shops that specializes in high end cars and there for should know what they are doing.

Well, got her back. Had to make a couple of changes. Went with the Cervinis window scoops since the SHR louvers are no longer available. Swapped to a CS bumper too. Glad to have her back on the road again though. That little hybrid thing I was driving around in really sucked.

Not sure if I’m fond of the window scoops. I got some fabric interior window cover/deletes to go along with them so you weren’t looking at the back of them. Just not used to the look yet. I’m thinking they might look better with a duck tail and Eleanor hood. Haha.

I have haggerty for the FireChicken but I put too many miles on the Mustang as she is now my daily. I also don’t keep her in the garage anymore. I do have an agreed value with my company but I had to deal with the other guys insurance.

Why did you not sure the other louvers? They don't look damaged in your pictures
Well we weren’t sure we could get them out without damaging them so we had to have a plan in place. I do have the louvers still and they did get a little nicked taking them out. We had to take them out because they were going to be cutting and bending the rear quarters. If they leave them in while doing them the seals would not be good so removing them had to be done. I’m going to try and restore these and depending on how they turn out I may just put them back on sometime.

That really sucks those SHR louvers aren't available anymore. I had them on my wife's S197 and really loved them. I think your current ones still work with the flow of the car though. Really glad to see it is back in one piece and looking good. How did the paint work come out? It seriously took me almost 10-15 years before I was able to find a good painter.

Reminds me of when my baby got hit by this moronic woman. She turned at a no turn junction, seemed to be on something, ended up fleeing the scene after already staying on scene for 15 minutes waiting for law enforcement so I had plenty of photos. This was of course leaving NMRA Spring Break Shootout in Bradenton.

Ended up she was driving her boyfriend's father's car, without his permission, who was a city commissioner and they tried to pull some funny ****. FHP comes writes up the report and I go home. I get a call from FHP saying I needed to come down to their station to be interviewed. It was really sketchy, gave me the willies so I ended up having my attorney call them. After him leaving a voicemail I never heard back from them. I've always thought something was definitely was fishy if they just stopped after that. I never want to go back to that damn place lol.

Yeah the window scoops are starting to grow on me. I'm still going to try and clean up and paint the old louvers. at least it will be a fun little side project.

Paint came out pretty good. Blends in well with just a touch more sparkle. Hardly noticeable. Might have to really detail out the rest of the car to make the shine the same.
