I am trying to install my brand new Optima Red Top battery right now in my 2000 GT. The factory tie down will not hold the battery down. It seems to be much narrower than the Motorcraft battery and when I tighten it down, the tie down just pushed the battery out from under it. I really need this thing to be installed asap. Please help.

hahaha ya my search button wouldnt work for a min, i have been having trouble with it lately.

What model did you get? The 34/78 type battery comes with its own hold down piece to use on our cars.
