Hello, my name is Richard Brown. 19 years old from Lethbridge Alberta,Canada.

Thought I'd make a little build thread on my v6.

Its a 1994 Mustang with a 4.2 v6 swap (98-f150) with m112 supercharger.

The car was purchased in Coaldale Alberta (short drive from Lethbridge) on Feb 6 2007 as a father-son project, guess that made me 12 years old at the time (same as the age of the car). We were looking for a project car, mainly for a fox body, but came across this sn95 in the paper. The car was in pretty rough shape and had just been used as a donor car for a GT that hit a deer. However the car still had potential and was towed home the next day. Since then I have fallen in love with the sn95 body style and glad we came across it. All the work done to the car has been done by my father and I in a standard two car garage, including the paint. This is my first car and the vehicle I learned how to drive standard on, which was terrifying.

Here's some quick pics of the major works of the build. I can provide more of specific things if people are interested.

So this is how it started off as:

Got a 00 Cobra R style hood, cobra bumper and bullitts

4.2 v6

engine bay paint

Putting engine in the car

Now body work...

Lastly,to put a supercharger designed for a v8 on a v6.

Used a special adapter plate from SSM.

Now for the finished result!
Here's a list of the mods done to the car.

This is what it looks like today!

Number wise, there's still a few bugs in it. But my most resent dyno with plugged cats and bad o2 sensors did:

On Mustang Dynamometer
247.8 RWHP
264.4 RWT
As a comparison a stock 3v V8 Mustang does about 225 RWHP on this dyno!

On Dyno-Jet (Estimated, 14% more)
288.1 RWHP
307.4 RWT

At Flywheel (Estimated)
330.4 HP
352.5 T

Once its running smoothly it should be at the 300whp mark.

I think thats good for now!

Thanks for looking!

Why put in all that work to dyno it with such small things as bad o2 sensors and cats?
Regardless, the car is clean and props for doing all the work with your dad.

Very nice, i wonder what you spent on the whole build, and supercharger kit.
I think just over 20 now, figure about 6 in the engine.

Didn't know about the o2 sensors and cats. Opened up cats and they weren't that bad. But regardless when I replaced the o2 sesnors and opened cats the computer should do the final bit of adjustment on its own. But theres a few more bugs in it yet.

Only thing that would make the exterior tits on this car would be to convert to the 96-98 tail lights and put a saleen spoiler on it! nice work.

Guess you wouldn't understand my 4V car then. The OP has a great looking, SC'd, basically new Mustang, which he was able to put together with his Dad. I sincerely doubt he built it with any intention other than keeping it for himself, so what does the expense matter?

Why not? I have a one of a kinda car for the price of a clean run of the mill bolt on v8. And that figure was spent over 7 years...

No, and no :p. I love the wingless look on sn95s and horizontals are where its at.

Glad you remember it!

Exactly. The only way this car is leaving me is in flames or tiny pieces. And when the motor goes its coyote swap :) but hopefully that isn't for awhile...

Ahh makes sense. I bet that thing will really wake up with some long tubes. Oh, and I want to make love to that engine. It's beautiful.

You obviously are new to the world of modding cars. 300rwhp is a pretty fun street car and not everyone wants to be the same. Hell I've probably got 20k in my car and it will only make about 400rwhp. But when I bought the car at 16 it was all I could afford and I've spent money on it over 4 years.
