Hi all,
Great Site. I was wandering if anyone has seen this code before. I have a 97 GT with a 99 engine (I think the EVAP system is still 97, probably doesn't matter anyway). I was thinking of checking the wiring to the Purge Valve but can't seem to locate it at the moment. I have looked at some of the other threads with pictures pointing it out but couldn't view them for some reason. I know the general area to be looking just can't seem to locate it. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks very much,

Steve

its actually P1443. Its nothing to worry about. the purge i think is in the fender, but not sure. Just clear your code by taking the battery off for 15 minutes. It may come back, but it is nothing to fret about at all. Many of us get that code.

During my research I have found that P0443 is an "enhanced" code in the OBD/2 list. It is the same part (purge valve) but different fault. I'm assuming, being that it says "circuit fault", it has to be a short circuit in the wiring or a bad valve itself.

Thanks for your help
