I'm sick of looking at my yellowed intake and i wanna pull it off and either paint, or polish it. so here comes the stupid question. is there anything i need to know about taking it off and re-installing it. i'm sure it's just, unhook everything, take it off, seal up whatever is open. and then re-install in reverse. but is there anything i should be mindful of when doing this?

Nope, pretty easy. I have found that good quality wheel paint holds up extremely well if you just want to make it look stock.
