I am working on upgrading my stang. I was wondering if the PI is suggested over non PI. I found the PI heads, Cams, and complete valvetrain for 300. They have about 30000 miles on them. Is this a good deal?

Yeah, PI swap is a big thing, you won't regret it. $300 is OK, but there are better deals out there. I found some with 15K miles on a fresh rebuild, 3 angle valve job, resurface, etc for $250.

Well I understand that part. I thought you were talking about something bigger. I don't know if they are romeo or not. I'm waiting for the pictures now.

Depends what your future goals are. PI swap will raise the compression too high for a SC or a turbo. Not completely 100% sure on that though someone should chime in here for assurance.

You'll be at about 10.5:1 compression ratio with PI heads and NPI pistons.

For someone with fair knowledge on cars not mustangs in particular about how long would it take to do a full pi swap with aftermarket cams an is it pretty easy to do

You will also need the coolant tube that goes under the intake, and a alternator bracket. There should be write ups containing step by step instructions some where on this site. If not just do a google search and you will find several articles about it.

Thanks for all your guys help. Yes they are romeo heads. So if I had these put on I can't boost or turbo it? Im not quite sure what my future plans are. What about just the PI cams compared to the stock cams?

The pi cams an intake are where most of your gains are. You can run the higher compression of a full swap with a turbo or supercharger as long as you keep the boost down and have a good tune.
