I bought a 1995 mustang v6 3.8l the coolant is a brownish gold color so obviously old but when the car idles and drives white smoke comes out of exhaust but the temperature gauge never gets too hot. I looked at valves through the oil fill hole same color as coolant but doesn’t really look too much like coolant. Pulled dipstick and there’s no coolant there just good old oil. Could it be a head gasket or does coolant just need to be replaced? Please help should I just do new head gaskets, radiator, coolant reservoir and engine flush?
Background: car had been sitting for about 4-7 years
