Can it be done and if so has there been anybody see gains from it? I ask as it's fairly simple to take off and put back on and I can do the port work myself.

So no one has tried porting or has it shown no gains. I have a c&l upper plenum. Well how about an edelbrock vic Jr intake? Does anybody on here have one and been to the dyno with it or track results?

Someone all ready has a post on that intake. And no you won't see gains with that intake with out boost. Leave the plastic intake alone.

the intake manifold is composite and cant be actually "ported". you can clean up the openings on the head side but that it. the edelbrock intake is more for an aggressive set up, boost or high rpm is what its made for. the stocker is more than sufficient for stock short block, and decent builds.

I have a ported c&l plenum on my car, did it myself and didnt notice anything. of course I wouldnt expect a ton from it, just figured it was something to do to pass time once.
