Have fun, I live about 20 minutes from PRP and go pretty often. :)

My best pass so far with the turbo setup -

Left lane in both slips, car 3223. 12.81 at 109 and 12.94 at 109

Decided to turn the boost up a few lbs on my car..hitting just over 14psi of boost in 3rd gear...new best of 9.988 but it's the 60' that I'm ecstatic about... 1.399!!!

And here is a backup slip of the previous run... 10.027

Damn, that 60' is awesome...what are you doing that I don't know about?

A lot of racing. My car is set up just for drag racing now and will be coming off the road very soon since I'm getting a trailer tomorrow. My setup is as follows...

4.6 iron block bored .020 over and 3.75" stroker crank
Manley flat top pistons giving me 11:1 compression
Manley rods
FRPP Stage 2 heads with Comp 127300 cams VCT locked out and retarded 6* using the trick flow crank gears
E-force blower (slips above were with the 3" pulley which is 14-15psi)
4R70W transmission with manual valve body and trans brake
3.73 gears, 35 spline axles, spool & c-clip eliminators
Lakewood 90/10 struts up front and 50/50 shocks in the rear
Cobra Jet older style springs all around (the newer ones lower the car and I didn't want that)
JPC racing Race UCA
UPR UCA mount
UPR heavy duty Heim joint LCA's
CHE LCA relocation brackets
BMR Extreme Anti-Roll Bar which levels the car's launch
Racestar 15x3.75 fronts with Mickey radial tires
Racestar 15x10 rears with Mickey 275 pro drag radials

And...I run the car on E85 so I can run some high timing which is great. I normally run with the 3.5" pulley and I run static 23* timing when wide open throttle for consistency and my air fuel is set at .790 lambda which in gasoline terms would be 11.8-11.9. On the 9.98 pass I had my timing starting at 23* and ramping up to 25* above 4750 rpms. I shift around 6800 rpms and when the boost is turned up I lock my converter just before the 1000' mark.

I normally have my 2-step set at 3000rpms but I actually lowered it on Sunday to try and slow my reaction down to 2500 and managed a 1.385 60' which I was amazed.

Our setups aren't all that much different. I can't figure out how you get off the line so fast. How much power are you making? What does the car weigh?

Race weight for the 9.98 pass was over 3900lbs. Power, I have no idea with the 3" pulley but with my 3.5" pulley it would cut 1.45-1.46 60's no problem and made 630rwhp and 590rwtq.

There is a fine line when you say that our setups aren't all that much different. I suspect it's your suspension setup as well as your trans and converter. You are still using a 5R55 trans and foot braking the car correct????...leaving off a trans brake I believe to be much better with our drive by wire cars.

Also, I don't know what fuel you are running but E85 allows me to have my IAT temps go up to 170 before it pulls timing and I can run much more timing as well. Running 25* timing at WOT in a boosted 3V engine is pretty much uncharted territory from what I have seen and I have had zero issues and no signs of detonation.

I'm on e85 too with an ice box cooler so my IAT's are low as well.
We weigh the same and I'm making similar or probably more power. (however we get there) So I expect that you are right about the trans brake. I am launching off the foot brake and I'm getting 1.4s and 1.5's but man that 1.3 was impressive. What is the stall on your converter?

Looking at my datalog of that run I would say 4000-4100 at that power level. At the lower boost it flashes to 3700 on my launch.

24OCT14 midnight madness/test and tune @ MIR

3490 lbs race weight with driver, helmet, 1/8 tank of gas, gutted trunk, pass seat and rear seat back/bottom removed (3265 lbs w/o driver and helmet)

pb 60 = 1.611; 1/8 = 7.819; 1/4 = 12.339 DA was between +99 ft and -299 ft throughout my runs per drag times calculator

Spun bad on the third pass after following several street cars that drove through the water box

I missed 2nd gear on the last pass, it may have bested my 12.339... There's still some tweaking to do with tire pressure and shock/strut settings. I may have a high 1.5x 60' left in the car, and maybe 12.2x ET by years end.
