I am in the process of pulling my 302 and putting a 331 stroker in.
My question is I have about $200-$250 to spend on one decent thing I guess as a Christmas gift from my in laws.
What would yield the best results for my money?
A full poly busking kit(My bushing look to be worn out)
Maybe some control arms for the front,
Just not sure at the moment,so I would like to have some advice.

The car is a 90 notch,5 spd.

I already have those.I have 3.73's in it now.
I am looking between a few things to tighten up my suspesion b/c it is loose.
I wanted to know if the these bushing kits were any good though or a complete waste of money.

Right now it is a stock bottom 302 with alum heads and a cobra upper and lower intake plus a spacer, bbk cold air intake, shorty headers, but it is coming out and being rebuilt and stroked.
The gears in the rear end are 3.73's.
Not sure about everything b/c I bought the car that way and now I am changing it.The fuel injection sucks on it.It has a bad idle surge that will not keep the car running at all, done with it. I am going to put a carbed stoker in it.
Basically like I say though the car was very loose,It feels like it is all over the road, and I figure I got a few bucks to spend so I would do something to make it better for the new motor.

Sorry I asked then,I just dont ever understand why you cant ever get an answer for something like this.No one ever puts a bushing kit on their car, your cars already have 15-20 year old tight suspension?
Whatever,I guess all forums are the same too, thanks though.
I thought that's what everyone was here for was to help out and answer questions, but sorry I ask.
Sorry you hate these threads too

Its fine. As far as a fuel injection system, unless you build it and know exactly whats going on with it,personally its worthless.Mine is so screwed up by someone that its not worth fixing and as far as carbed, from the research and ppl that I have talked to that have the setup, its easier to work on,and it will yeild more torque and hp in the long run.the down side is worse gas mileage, but this car is not a daily driver,so I really dont care.

I understand that everyone has an opinion, but I just ask a question about some parts to get some answers.I ended up calling Summit Racing and they answered my question for me.By the way,for anyone else who is looking for info, control arm bushing in the front and a rear upper and lower control arm setup out back will help the car alot.

I wouldn't waste your money on a bushing kit. You're better off replacing the stock control arms, and those will have bushings in them already.
That was what I was wanting to know,so I am not going to get them.I just wanted to see if they were a complete waste or not.

Havent picked out a cam as of yet.The guy that is going to help me on building my motor was going top help me pick a cam.
AS far as EFI,I have replaced gaskets b/c I found vaccum leaks, replaced TPS and set it up,replaced the IAC,still notihng.I was told the cam could be the cause,it is a 1087,new version, but I am not sure about that either.

I am going to do the subframe connectors shortly. This is something I can do to wrap up and put under the tree for my inlaws.Just a tradition thing.
As far as completed motor,I will finish that by March or April of next year.It will be a process, and I have to recruit some help form my neighbor who builds motors.
