ok, I just bought a 98 gt and I noticed that it takes quite a wile to drop rpms after I accelarate. anyone know what could be causing this? vac. leak ? it just feels a lot different campared to my 00 gt.

if I disconnect the sensor connected to the iac, is the engine suppose to turn off? because mine did

Yeah, it won't know how to idle without it plugged in.

The best way to do it, is just pull it off, its like two bolts or something like that, and look into the little holes and see how filthy and full of carbon they are. Just take some carb cleaner and clean it out with either some que tips or a rag, but becareful not to let the carb cleaner get into the motor part, just the little piston part
