Repair Convertable Top

I have a 2005 mustang convertable. It has 65,000 miles and the rear glass has separated from the vinyl top. I was told by a body shop that I have to buy a new top. The shop claims that the glass is heat pressed at the factor with no pocket to make a repair. Ford did away with the rear glass pocket in 2005. The vinyl is in good shape, but the delaminated glass is allowing water to collect in the convertable top storage deck.
