Hey i have 1973 mustang just had it sandblasted, these are the unibody cars just in case anyone didn’t know. Guys charging me 1500$ for the firewall to the back, im tubing the front because its trash. Does 1500 sound right? Please any quick answers appreciated as i’m supposed to pick it up tomorrow. The guy also only wants cash wouldn’t accept my check which was also a little sketchy. I’m new to building cars so need some insight, 1500 an average price for the firewall to the back? Thanks

That sounds a bit much unless it was a complete rust bucket. Did he do inside outside, bottom of car, etc. What extent has been blasted? What about suspension components/axle etc.?

Yeah he did inside, bottom, outside and there was some thick bondo on exterior thats all i could think that may have jacked price up. Most of the rust was on front end which i told him not to do since it will be getting cut off.
