Im looking at buying a car with a s-trim on it. Here is the basic list.... Built .20 over shortblock with manley rods, ross 8.5 to 1 pistons, cobra crank, stock 04 heads with upgraded springs and VT stage II blower cams, accufab throttle body, svt focus pumps, 42lb injectors, and KB boost-a-pump, Vortech S-trim with Reichard 2.9 pulley, Anderson power pipe, and a Paxton 3 core air to air intercooler...... The car was making 14lbs with the pulley that is on it, then the intercooler was installed and it dropped 4lbs. So now it is 10lbs. Its making 471rwhp through a 4r70w. I believe that a s-trim is good to about 18lbs "correct me if im wrong". Would i be spinning it too high to try to make 18lbs with it? Would i be better off just searching for a T-trim headunit? I am planning on adding nitrous to it also, whether i move up to a T-trim or not. I understand im gonna need a little more fuel mods to do all this but that is not the concern. I just dont wanna waste my time and swap to 8rib, buy a pulley for the s-trim, go get it tuned and then still not be where i want to be. I want to be close to the 550-600rwhp range on blower alone and on pump gas.
