I have a Tremec t-45 in the 98 cobra and wanted to know if a short shift arm is enough or if I need the whole kit. I believe the Tremec has stops already so I am wondering if the shortened arm will produce the same results or if the kit is engineered to reduce the throw more than just a shortened arm. I'm not concerned about finding 3rd easier. Thanks any feedback.

youll need a short shifter to get best results, a short shifter will give you firm shifts instead of sloppy ones, and a short shifter has a spring load into third, youll notice a differnece between a short shifter rather then just having a short shifter arm, i have a tri ax from steeda and its awesome, the handle could be a little shorter

i hear the mgw is better then the steeda, not to mention a pro 5.0 shifter arm is a little shorter, and the threads can be cut on a pro 5.0 shifter arm to make the handle even shorter
