I found a shop that I like to do my converter install but had a question. My goal is to get around 500, maybe 500 and change rwhp. Do you guys think that I should get one of those frozen input shafts installed at the same time? And if I do do I need to get a new drum also? I am pretty ignorant about these 5R55S trannies and all of their capabilities. My plan is to get my S/C and run about 8 lbs. max until I can get to the bottom end forged and then up the boost probably to no more than 11-12 lbs.

So, do I need it, and if I do, do I need a drum, and should I do it now, or wait till I do the shortblock and up the boost?

Anyone have any advice for this vital piece?
