there is a guy the next town over selling a 3-core aluminum radiator brand new for $150 from steeda. well he says its for 94-96 cobra's but i kinda thought the radiator might be different for the 4.6s and 5.0s...but im trying to see if it will fit my car. it looks like its got the same hose locations and everything as mine. i have just a regular 4.6l gt..if it will fit i'd love to get it...any help would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks

I have a 98 gt and he said it fits 94-96 cobra's which doesn't make much sense but are the radiators universal on all 94-98's well
atleast the ones with v8's?

Oh cool that's what I was hoping. Hopefully won't run into any installation issues

What would be the best bang for the buck radiator? I noticed mine has just started having a pinhole leak on the lower right corner.

mr97stanggt I'm sorry but that's incorrect.

Ford changed radiator design in 1997 to a more efficient setup. I tried to swap the radiator from my 98 when I sold it into my 96 and ended up spending a shitload of money for 5 gallons of antifreeze. The brackets WONT line up. You can modify them if you want, and in your case it might be worth it cost wise if you're fabrication handy and can get a quality radiator on the cheap side. If not, then order the radiator for your car. I also want to note that there is a difference between the 97 and up, 96, and 95 gt fan shrouds. Like everything they can be modified to work, but keep in mind that it won't simply "Bolt up"

NOTE!! That the 03 - 04 Cobra radiators are NOT the same as the others in it's compatibility bracket, but it will fit.

Lil302;

You should probably make your own post, or use the search feature. It will definitely get you a very long way on most internet forums. But to answer your question, I personally have had great success with three mushimoto radiators in three different cars. Some people, not so much luck. If you're looking for "bang for the buck" then that's your route, just be forewarned that you may have problems with it down the road like other people have. There is also the ebay route, but the same warning applies. If you're looking for hands down the best radiators available, then look into Griffin, AFCO, or Fluidyne radiators.

I bought the Fluidine and it is a good radiator. Since I have a 96 with an auto I did not have many choices. The only issue I had is that I had to mod the bracket for my ABS pump as the thicker radiator would have hit it otherwise.
