I have a 306 with edelbrock performer heads what should i gap my plugs at? Also i pulled one of my plugs and it looks kinda white what does that mean to rich or to lean?

black or suity is rich
should just have a touch of brown look to it if mixture is right.

what gap are the ones in your car at, i gap at .054 but im all stock. anyway if yours are less then that you can open it up some more and thatll help richen it some to

The spark plug gap should be about .045" for a stock or mildly tuned normally aspirated street application.

k my manual and ford says gap from .052 to .054 for stock applications

A perfect running engines plugs should be a nice chocolate brown color.

EFI motor plugs alway look white if you pull them after you putted around town or after the car has been idling.

They run like 15:1 at idle, which = white plug.

If you want to know what your car is doing at WOT, do a WOT pass, kill the engine, and check the plugs directly after the pass. Not after the return road, but immediately after the WOT pass.
