looking for some cheap xmas ideas here and thinking about a cut and clamp or splice in x pipe. i know i wont see any noticeable hp gains, maybe a few, but how much does this piece change the exhaust note of a car? my exhaust set up right now is just mid mounted m80's (pypes mm). rest is all stock. if i'll see a noticeable increase in sound i'd be all for this. thanks and let me know!

SLP has a nice setup where you can add and delete the cats on them fairly easily. SLP Link

It definitley makes a difference in sound. I've got the SLP Loudmouths on mine with stock headers and stock mid pipes and it sounds pretty decent, but a guy with a shelby in town has the same exhaust setup but has the FRPP Mid pipe and it sounds A LOT better, the other nice thing with the SLP's is that the will work with the SLP longtubes if you decide to throw them in down the road as well.
