If you lower it could make the side of the tire rub your wheel well when you turn it. But idk i have 18x9's on the front of mine and it rubs some now when i turn it all the way
Do wheel spacers fix this issue? just curious^Same size wheels, 245/40 tires, same drop about, and I rub on full turn.
They could acually make it worse on a full lock turn. Think about it... when you turn all the way to one side your wheel is inside the wheel well on either the left or right. Now, with a spacer it pushes the wheel further out while inside the wheel well, thus coming closer... its hard to explain in words...Do wheel spacers fix this issue? just curious
Don't bother with a performance rack unless you're getting a better steering gear ratio its not worth it.I need a new steering rack to, and have been looking at "performance" aluminum ones, lighter weight I suppose, and I would get new bushings, and probably even a new PS pump & fluid to get the whole system to 100%. 126k miles gets things worn.
Thanks, I've been waiting for that info, haven't looked into it THAT much cuz the money isn't there yet, but that's good to know. Although if I recall correctly price was comparable.Don't bother with a performance rack unless you're getting a better steering gear ratio its not worth it.
The rack only weighs 10-15 lbs.
