My engine sqeeks, i dunno if its the pullys or what but its is anoying, would u know what it might be n how i can fix it?

like juggs said belt is stretched or off center

oh forgot to mention. could be the idelor pulley. they are known to chirp a bit too. PS beer fixes belt squeak. i figured it out on day on my old escort.. was leaning over under the hood with the engine running and split my brew on the belt system.

mustangs use a serp. belt do NOT put belt conditioner on it. it is for v belts only

like the other guy said check your idler pulley,i change a good amount of those when iwas working.also check your belt tensioner make your is not to stiff.when they go like that they are not able to keep proper tension on the belt. they are spring loaded.good luck

I seem to have this problem also. However mine started after I got my new rims. It only makes the noise when the car is moving at atleast 40mph and I cant pinpoint where the noise is coming from.

I doubte its the rims since they are tight and aligned, even tho the car moves alot when driving :mad:

Think I should check my belt also?
