I received a news letter e-mail from Steeda yesterday and saw this, it looks verry interesting. From what I have read it "may" do away with computer re-tuning after every mod. Just thought you all might like to know.

Steeda's Revolutionary “Adaptive Performance Calibration”

Good info, very interesting. Still dont think it can beat a dyno tune, but will definately stay tuned to see how the testing from 3rd parties go
Sounds really interesting. Anyone else got anymore info on this?
i called steeda about this for my kb, they said it works extremely well and has been tested for the whipple only, as of yet. the tech guy said it should work as well for the kb and others but just has not been tested yet. i think ill be buying this asap, it seems like a great product to simplify all kinds of tunind differentals. if it works like they say it does it might spell trouble for tuners. if you think about it, imagine not having to change tunes for varrying octane ratings at track. they claim max horsepower and torque at all times, sound too good to be true but ill think ill try it.
dumps, I wouldn't jump on board with this yet. I would wait till it's proven on FI. I don't think it will be all cracked up to be and they will have some blown up cars to show for it. For what they are claiming it to do with out a Wideband Sensor alot of what they are saying is a bunch of HOT AIR.... It is in no way "ADAPTIVE" because they are loading tunes and extending the operating range of all the sensors. If you want a TRUELY ADAPTIVE then buy a FAST, or Big Stuff 3
Sounds interesting, but I'll have to wait for some hard numbers first.
I HOPE IT TURNS OUT TO BE " ALL THAT" BUT I WILL WAIT & SEE.
IMHO I would think if it really was that good it would cost more than 399.00
yea you make some good points, maybe i'll wait a few months and let others be the guinea pigs. besides i just blew up my 07 with 5k mi and im awaiting a transplant and don't want another blown motor anytime soon.

Ouch, that sucks! What happened?

I don't suppose there is some way to adjust for gears, traction control, etc?

Why would you want to adjust the TC... I keep mine off all the time, its a lot more fun that way :D
I am a little skeptical too but steeda is a reputable company with access to ford OEM equipment for testing they also have the budget for testing. There are two options for this 1. sent your ecm to steeda to be flashed or 2. a hand portable tuner which you can load the tune with then adjust the things like gears etc. click on the link I attached and read all about it.
you can still adjust for gears with the ecm exchange just have to let them know what you have. unless your talking about after the fact adjusting. steeda works hand in hand w/ ford so i think this is going to be the setup if it is proven to be reliable.
as for the reason for my blown motor i have no clue what happened to it. i developed a knock one day after a tune change and some idle time, then boom severe rod knock. then after severe rod knock came severe empty wallet.

warranty didnt cover it?
It looks really cool, but I'll probably wait to get more info on this before I consider picking it up. Sounds alittle too good to be true and the setup will probably be on the conservative side.
Microsoft needs to hire Steeda to make something like this for Windows....
