Thinking about picking up Steeda's UDP. Anyone got a right up on installation? Steeda says requires shop tools. Like what? How long would It take on lifts and jack stands? Need an idea before I order them.

I think it's the 19th post under performance mods. This should be helpful with future mods too! ;)
Good luck,
John.

Well in may we get that tax rebate check in the mail. So i figured I would order xcal2, Jtl, and UDP. the checks 600 so the xcal and jtl are covered with shipping from brenspeed. And I can shell out 200 for the UDP. But if you dont wanna wait that long I can help you with yours. Or we could just both wait and find someone with an impact wrench and do it at the same time. lol.

I was thinking since it would cost just as much if not more for the tools why waste my money on tools if I can pay a guy less to do it... I think my main problem will be installing my Lts once I get them...

I would Recomend talking to Joe at trick tuners if you are going to get an Xcal2 or 3 and JLT II he has some great deals and I can vouche for his Tunes personally.. If you want to contact him his link is in my SIG...

I am holding out on UDP till I buy my full exhaust... So that may be till May aswell lol...

Yea i was going back and forth between bama bren and trick. Also whats a decent shop in our area that you would trust to put on ur UDP?
My friends dad Used to work on a line for GM and do alot of painting... We usually do all our own work but he knows someone on Route 9 by me that will do it for cheap...

I havent really found any repitable shops... They all want to charge a arm and a leg because they see a young kid with a hott car... I am always looking around so I will let you know if I find any...
I cant seem to find a Dyno up here... I will be traveling down to White Plains for one so let me know if you know any up here and when I go down if you want to come along...
$100 bills and hour...
100 bills an hour for what? Putting in new pullys? LMAO....ok

I got a shop right down the road from me that I have do my electrical. Ill see if he recomends anyone. Because honestly I dont wanna go throught the BS of putting on UDPs unless I have all tools for free. Ill let you know.

Dyno it now? Why not wait till after your build, arent dynos expensivE?

I ment 100 an hour for the Dyno lol...
I want to get it dyno tuned early in the summer... Udp's would cost around 65-75 I am guessing but I may be able to get my done for free...
75 I can do, and 200 for the part. Thats easy. Its commutting to have them done. Thats what I dont want. Idk. I know JLT and Xcal will be easy mods since i already have a CAI and its just take one out replace it with the other. Idk ill have to email my guy to see.
Just do it up... Look closely for UDPs you can find them from 170 -200...
You dont need any shop tools to put on udps, you can use a breaker bar for the crank bolt, if you cant get it with that I rented the compressor for i think 24 dollars from home depot and borrowed the gear puller from the auto parts store.

Keep me in mind when you want to buy these parts ill give you guys the best deal i can.

So you have the brute force cai? Why not just get the tune from the bama or brenspeed, why pay for another CAI?

I have an AEM cold air. IDT its brute force. Unless you could show me a pic of one. I want optimal air flow. JLT is best I thought

Where in New York are you 2 guys??
Im in newburgh 60m north of the city.

I went to aem's site and the only one i saw for our car is brute force. Dont know good luck i guess. You dont have a tune now?
No Im 20yrs old with a crap job so cant spend money unless I save for a few weeks.

I mean I noticed a diff with the cai. but not as much as i was hopin for

You could consider just buying the xcal and tune from bama or brenspeed whichever you mentioned. see what you get from that alone. you can always buy another cai later.

You could also go to JLT's site and look at there own dynos. Its informative if you really look at it, unfortunatley the dyno for our cars is not there.

Just a suggestion that could save you 200.

One more tip, always look at the mixture of the before and after dyno.
well what do you recommend personally? I planned in may to order the JLT xcal combo. then sell my "brute force" to a guy i know. Then in the mean time order a sequential taillight kit and UDP's
