I only have 300 bucks......
cam it?

serious?

Are we talking about you wanting to throw a super duper 900hp cam in a completely stock car so it sounds cool and stalls at lights?
if you have stock mods don't cam it you can spend money elsewhere
okay what can I do with 300 bucks its aod by the way
swap that AOD for a C4
Why post when you dont know what you are saying? A C4 in a stock car huh? Please tell me why the hell he needs that? You can mod the aod with a lot less money than the c4 would cost and it will hold damn near 1000HP and still have OD so its friendly on the highway. And with no othe mods why would you suggest a TB or intakes? The heads aer going to restrict anything more than stock, and will probably lose some torque.

For the Cam.......this is like the 10,000th post this month on stock cars with BIG cams. You don't do a cam until you have done EVERYTHING else you are going to do. The cams in these cars are actually really good. I would put the 300 into exhaust, or gears (here comes the 3.73-4.10 debate), CAI, or start saving for a good top end kit like trick flow. Don't waste money on a TB or Intakes at this point, it will give you no seat of the pants HP, and actually will probably make the car more sluggish. You could also talk to silverfox here or on Click Click Racing about getting you a built VB (shift kit basically but done right) for harder shifting. With that and a set of gears then CAI and exhaust you will feel like you are driving a new car and will be your cheapest most seat of the pants feel mods.

before you mod the car the best thing would to get some subframe connectors.
I agree with gears that will be a good gain and CAI and Exhaust in the near future as well as some suspension parts(springs, lca, shocks)
+1 on the subframes, I brain farted that off the top of the list. You are going to want them now or later, probably better off now before you get to beating on the car and do any damage.
i was trying to find a cheap t-5 and doing the swap
cam is the last mod you want to do.. that gets done when you know what your over all combo will be.

stock car i'd say gears you'll feel the biggest difference/gain but like stated above subframes are definitly a requirement even for stock powered cars. The torque twist the car and ends up creating stress cracks along the roof paint among other things.

so although there's no performance gains with subframes (does tighten up the feeling of the car though) it's a smart choice.

performance wise you have to go with 3.73 gears it's the best bang for the buck in a stock car.
You can make the aod hold way more power than the t5 but their is going to be the argument of it being more fun. Yeah the 5 spd is fun, but a clicker with a built VB and stall is a good time too.

I say subframes exhaust and maybe CAI with 300 if you shop around
then go with gears
then VB (shift kit)

I've been meaning to put subframe connectors in my car
