The Koni STR.Ts vs the Koni Yellows...

Now to answer your question, what are you planning on doing with your car? What are you future goals?
struts, oh I had no idea.lol
I just installed the rear Koni Yellow Shocks (fronts are on back-order till January) with Steeda Swaybars and Adj UCA. It depends on what your looking for out of the car, I wanted adjustability for the drag strip and track days. The price on the STR.Ts is really good though.

Car was filthy i know

Which koni's are these, they say they are external adjustable. They say koni sport, and this is the setup I am buying........so which are they.
Ford Mustang GT V8, all, w/ Koni dampers 05- Sport Suspension Kits
Koni Sports = Koni Yellows

and dude that is a ridiculous price. Strano Performance Parts - Parts Catalog is where i got mine for much less than that...
As per the advice of Sam Strano, I went with the Koni STR.Ts and some Steeda Ultralites. Keep in mind my car is street driven only. Sam said the STR.Ts were basically the same as the Koni Yellows set to full soft. They are also similar in performance to Bilstein non-adjustables. The Koni Yellows are an advantage for a track driven car--they're adjustable and can handle a lowering spring with more drop and spring rate. Good luck finding them. They've been on back order for a while. BTW, even with the Steeda Ultralites the STR.Ts are a major improvement over the oem struts and shocks.
koni yellows are on backorder?

That is with the springs sir....And yes it is spensive for me, but I want that setup....

I figured when people clicked the link that said STR.T or Yellow, that people who saw those words would understand I was talking about the shock/strut kit. I knew Yellow was Sport also

I did read Strano's post in that one topic but for some reason everytime I read it I felt like I wasnt understanding it. Of course getting them is a big improvement over the OEM. My goal right now is a DD that I can take to the track and hold the tires down nicely. Bilsteins are too much for me to think about right now, Koni is nicely priced. I guess I didnt look at the Yellow's price so ultimately Ill be sticking with getting STR.T's

oh ok with the springs thats not so bad. And yes they are back-ordered until mid January... :(
^ eeeewwwwww. Well I will have to get them later......
So the STR.T's are alright for a "mild" drop. What about someone running Eibach Sportlines. That's more of a drop than 1". Which would be the better buy STR.T's or Sports? What drop corresponds to which setup? The term "mild drop" is too loose for me. I need numbers. How much of a drop would be considered more than mild, and would it require Sports vs STR.T's?
Koni yellows (Sports) for the adjust-ability.

I run Tokico D-Specs, but Konis will be next.
Two totally different goals.

The STR.Ts are a mild upgrade over stock dampers. I'd class them about on par with a Tokico blue.

Yellows are a high-performance adjustable damper. I'd recommend these if you're racing in an arena where corners are involved.

If you don't know the difference, you probably don't need to spend the extra money for the yellows.

If you don't know what adjusting dampers does, I recommend not having adjustables.
He gezz bring a year old thread back from the dead
I have the STR.Ts and I love them. :yes
