after i rebuilt the motor and put it in the car, i had a nasty coolant leak on the back of the driver side head, so i took the heads off in car (which will help me route the wireing harness the way i want it) but i wanted to go studs. So im trying to wrap my head around how to install the studs and heads with the motor in car, i know the shock tower is hell... any suggestions??

yeah double lock the nuts on the top of the stud. the they are basically bolts. then, once you torque them down, you just have to undo the top nut. I will bedoing this today if my heads show up.

i have no experiance with studs, are they allen head on top so bassicly you are tourqing the stud in the block and the tourqing the nut to the head?

i dont have allen head ones.

But if you hand tighten the studs like ur supost to in the block. and then sit the heads on. Then you torque the nut, and the nut will torque the stud and the nut.

So the same concept goes for putting them in with the heads on in the car.
