Suspension: where to start?

As far as I know my suspension is stock except for some eibach lowering springs. I want to know where to start beefing up my suspension to put all my engine power to use, getting better grip off the line, and lowering my 1/4 mile time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

upper and lower control arms and sub frame connectors are a good start.
0 - make sure your stock equipment is in the best condition it can be - if your bushings are shot, get them replaced first!
.5 - Tires. Tires are 50% of your handling. Kumhos are great if you need something now on the cheap, but they lose their grip after about 10k miles.

1st - best shocks you can buy; I suggest Bilsteins for non-adjustables, and I suggest non-adjustables over adjustables.
2 - subframe connectors
3 - panhard bar/watts link - without it, your axle can move 2" laterally.

After you have all that, then I'd start looking at replacing your control arms. Just whatever you do, do NOT put poly bushings in your upper control arms!

Yeah, you should see good gains with lower control arms at a bare minumum. If you can afford it, definitely get a good set of shocks and struts too. I ran the Tokiko Illumna 5 Way Adjustables on my old setup before I had coilovers and they were awesome. If I did it over again, I'd do the same thing. Definitely do subframe connectors too!

PM [email protected] (supporting vendor RE-Performance) He'll give you some awesome deals on the UPR rear suspension. You can also ask him about the shocks and struts.

those are definitely the next items to get..they make a nice, stiff improvement
