I've been reading up on swapping 96-98 tail lights onto my 95 stang. From what I understand they will bolt right in, but one of the bulb sockets are a different size.

Anybody have any experience doing this swap? Any ideas on how to make it work? Couldn't I just get the harness out of a 96-98 mustang and be fine? Or splice in the right size socket?

the 94/95 taillights look soooo much better in my opinion. I also thought it was a straight up swap. Idk why Ford would change a socket size but sometimes they do some weird stuff.

I like the 94/95 tail lights but there blacked out and there way to dark so instead of trying to find red ones to replace them I just figured I would go with some 96-98 black tail lights and add the sequential tail light kit to it later.

need harness, I am sure you could just hardwire them in if the new taillights came with the sockets.
