Hey everyone. I have an 89 2.3l with the T-5 trans. I recently installed a clutch after the old one was completely trashed. I changed the transmission fluid, and I know the T-5's call for Dex III, but I forgot at the time and used Valvoline 80w 90. The bottle says it meets and exceeds the performance requirements for Ford M2C108-C AND M2C197-A. I know the syncros will eventually go out if you don't use the specific fluid, but do these codes above meet Murker Dex III standards. Thanks for any help.

The fluid I used actually was gear oil, thats what I meant to say about the 80w-90. I did try to Google it but I cant find exactly what I need. Most of the stuff I find is coded or not to where I can understand it, like its for mechanics with code books if that makes sense.
