my friends thinking bout getting a 66 fastback he found, it doesnt have a motor and he was curious if the t-5 and a carbed 5.0 would go in it without much problems?

a 5.0 and a t=5 will just about jump in there by itself.

yea, the 5.0 block is basically the same as the 289/302, if not exactly the same. He might need a tranny mount, but that's it.

5.0 = 302 / 289 same motor mounts same every thing but water pump. you can add a 1968 water pump to get the water kneks on the passangers side.

All you will needs is a tranny mount.

T-5 and a 5.0 bolt right in. Only problem is converting the clutch linkage.
