So, i had a pretty nicely built v6, but someone rear ended and totaled it out 2 days ago.

I don’t wanna get anything but another new edge, but ALL i can find is automatics.

Could i take an automatic, and simply swap the t5 i already have underneath it? by “simply swap” i mean completely swap the engine and transmission, wiring harness and ECU to the v6 and it would bolt right up?

the clutch, flywheel, cable, pilot and throw out bearings, mount, etc is all already brand new with less than 20 miles on them…

but my question is just, is that how simple it should be? will the t5 mount to the same spot at as the auto? are the diffs the same?

Depends what you call easy. The driveshafts are different lengths. You’ll need to either disable pats or swap your cluster, swap the pedals, cut a hole for the clutch cable, cut a hole for the shifter and swap a lot of wiring inside and outside the car. That’s just off the top of my head.
