hey whats up people i really don't know that much about cars but i would like to supercharge is it really worth it for that engine 4.6 2v.? and whats the most rwhp i can get on it with stock engine its a 2000 mustang gt

do a search man. been covered a thousand times

400rwhp is the most i would go. but some say 425. after that rods fail.

Ive heard around 450rwhp is max. Mine puts out 420rwhp, and I drive the hell out of it. Its all in the tune how safe it is.

450 is that max, but some car are weaker/stronger than others... i would say keep her between 400-425. With a full suspension and 3.73's, that 425 will feel like 500.

how did you get 420 rwhp what kind of supercharger? i was thinking a kenne bell so r you saying you 420 with a stock 4.6 i like your numbers i would like to be getting around that

I run an intercooled Procharger P1SC @ 10psi with a good tune. Bone stock long block.

I have a 2001 Gt 4.6 with a 302 stroker kit, votec s/c and stage 3 blower cams. It has used a lot of oil since the last change. I use 5/20 royal purple now. Would the weight of the oil have anything to do with the oil use? Thanks

how long your block stays together has a lot to do with the tune also. Yes the stock blocks wont take a 1000hp but it can do 400's with a good tune and 93 octane.

Without cams/heads Id say 400rwhp is safe. Maybe a litte more. I woud stay under 450rwhp if you have cams or heads.

If you have the fuel, and a great tune, the car will last for a while

i made 470 on my stock short block for about 3 years.. and around 530 for a couple weeks before it let go lol.. if it was tuned right it would have lasted.. detonation killed the pistons..

A N20 member on here has 505/591 WHP/WTQ on a 100,000+ mile STOCK internaled motor

Had a turbo 2000 mustang gt that was making 460rwhp and 520rwtq on stock motor for a year of constant abuse then a rod finally let go when a buddy took it to the top of fifth gear. The car had a hellion 62mm turbo kit on it the rest of the motor was stock throttle body to oil pan.
