I ordered my new wheels tonight for my 08' GT in a 18 x 9 front and 18 x 10 rear, the OE Racing Gunmetal DD Bullitts, so now I need to decide on some tires to wrap them in, I have considered the Dunlop SP sport 9000 for rear in a 275/40-18 and the front I am not so sure on but the Sunny SN3800 has an almost identical tread pattern in a 255/45-18, so is it ok to use two brands if tread is similar or should I look deeper and find a matching set.The car doesn't get drove alot as I am only home 3 months per year at best, so any help or pointers are appreciated.

Went with Nexen N3000 all four corners, 245/40-18 front, 275/35-18 rear, now time to look at lowering.

Did you search the net or anywhere for reviews on these tires? I did and didnt find very many people who had much good to say about them.

I agree that they are too small as well.

If you can cancel that order and see about getting some nitto 555 for the front and 555r for the rear.

I also went with 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 rear. This is the most popular staggared set-up with the 18x9 and 18x10 rims. This keeps the tires very close to the stock height.

What sizes are those?
Front 255/45/18 on 9", Rear 305/45/18 on 10".

bf goodrich kdw2's
Front Toyo T1R's, Rear Nitto 555R's

305/35/20s, same tires that I'm running on my car now.

Are you talking about Boss' tires? If so no they aren't, they are Nitto NT555Rs.

Mine are .4" taller overall and have 1.2" more sidewall.

Great DR so far. Not so great till you get them up to temp, but after a mile or two the do just fine.
