yes 265 is the reccomended size for an 9" wide rim. 265/35 will clear fine with no rubbing
i don't think that 265 is the recommended size, cobras came with 245's i think 255's r the ideal strate wall size.
and if u dont want any thing to beffy i would day 245. or255 up front
and 295 ot 305 out back.

I don't know if your talking specifically about the 96-98 Cobras but the 99-04 Cobras came with 275's on all 4 corners.

trust me 265's are reccomended for a 9" wide rim. check out AM and it will even tell you that. you can put 275's but if the car is lowered it will most likely rub. go with 265's thats what im going with

i guess, i am more of a road race mind set, so im not the bigest fan of fat tiers, i like somthing with a nice streight vertical side wall, because that is the best for latarel exceleration, were fat tiers r ideal for dreag racing, more tire more traction.
but don't get me wrong a mustang with a nice fat set of dr's out back does look bad ass

245 was put on the 8" wheels not 9" i have 245's on my 17x8s

265 or 275 will be fine. I personally would go for a 275 and you will be fine for the front, and for the 10.5 I would go with a 315.

Unless you have alot of power to get to the ground, i would keep the stock 245/45/17 up front, with a wider 275/40/17 in the rear. Dont forget bigger tires add alot of rotation weight that will slow you down.

if you want fat tires get 315/35/17 rear and 275/40/17 front

ok i dont have alot of power to spin them i just want a nice lookin tire tire rack said that 235/45/17 for the front will work and i was thinkin 275/40/17 for the rear
id defenataly go wider in the front, 235 is starting to strech the tire. 245 or 255 would be better. u also my want to look for somthing a little bit bigger as well, like at least 295

streching is more of an import look, they mainly do it so they have the clearence to tuck there wheels.
