Depends on gearing you have now but basically equates to doing a gear change so your top end will be higher in theory but you will be slower out of the hole

Using my mental calculator and rough numbers...
The difference in tires is a factor of 1.07, so divide your current gear ratio by 1.07 and you should have your new "effective" gear ratio.
meaning a 3.73 with 28 inch tires will now act like a car with 26 tires and a 3.50 ratio etc..

Slower? Maybe, it's just like using the next number lower gear ratio I guess.

That's why I installed 4.56 gears and bought an extra set of wheels with 28" tires. Put the 26's on and I effectively have the next lower set of gears (4.88). Off to the 1/8 mile track.

with the street tires the best launch i can outta of was a 1.98 babying it. I was think i could stall it up the the mickys and maybe get a better 60ft. i wasnt sure if the hieght would hurt me
