Does anyone have any experience with this? Does it improve shifting all that much? Is it a shorter throw? Tighter? What's the deal? I can't seem to find any reviews on this thing.

It's all I've ever used, so I can't tell you how it might be better than the ford. At the end of the day, it is still a linkage shifter, and will have a much different feel than an integrated shifter.

NO old Ford shifter even comes close to a new Hurst. An eye blink is all the time you need to shift a top loader. You won't miss a shift either. Hurst also has re-build kits for a "swapmeat" shiftre. have Fun.
