I went to the part store to get some tranny fluid for my 5 speed and I was told to use automatic fluid. I've done research and saw multiple people say it's the best thing to use but how won't this corrupt my transmission?

Auto fluid in a manual just doesn't seem smart to me.

Put some 75-140 grease in there. Then go buy another transmission!~ Does not sound correct but it is so. T-5 uses Dexron automatic transmission fluid.

I would switch to either Amsoil snychromesh or GM synchromesh. Had trouble with the ATF foaming and puking out the vent just like in the TSB ford released where they recommend the GM fluid. I know it sounds strange but its a good idea to go with the synchromesh.

EDIT: and yeah ford uses ATF in their manuals
